Last night 3rd Lair premiered the new Creature Video, "Born
Dead". It was so sick. Those guys can skate everything and
anything. Pools, gaps, stairs, parks and everything in
between. Backside 5-0 El Toro? WHAT? This is one that
should be in your collection for sure.
It is about 11AM EST here and we will be rolling over to the contest
for the final day. Chris Morgan and Ryan Kyser are still left to
skate. Those guys were on last night during open practice.
Kyser was hitting gaps to 5-0 on the fly box, big spin heels up the
euro and f/s smithing the big rail that no one really touched the whole
contest. Chris was all over the park. He hits it all.
I think they will both have two solid runs today.
Right now we are in 5th with 7 heats to go. Which by the way, has
nothing to do with Dave’s bandana. There are some serious teams here
too. Charm City, MB Warp, 3rd Lair, and West Side just to name a
few. There has been so much good skating by so many people.
Shops from Washington, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Nebraska,
Illinois…..everywhere.
I am so proud of this team for who they are and how they skate.
Everyone gets along and we just have a killer time together. I
really think that is what Pittsburgh skating is all about and now we
have a chance to show the rest of the world.
Thanks to all of you who have supported us of the past years. It
is truly you who make Blank Skate what it is and what it can be.
Thanks to Pittskate (especially Craig for updating at 3 in the morning) for hosting our trip journal.
Thanks to the guys at 3rd Lair for putting on a SKATER OWNED contest
and bringing out some of the sickest AM talent in the US. They
don’t get any better than this.
We won’t have internet connection after this email. So all future
updates will have to be texted to Pittskate. We will keep you
posted and we’ll see you back in Da Burgh on Monday!
