What says eighties more than a ghetto blaster and VHS?….. well I guess
some pegged Levis, and a pair of L.A. Gear with E.T. laces would take
the cake, but for the sake of this month’s giveaway, the answer is a
John Allie Ghetto Blaster deck and Dying to Live VHS from this month’s
contest sponsor, Pa Cheap Skates.
 
The grand prize winner of this month’s contest will receive the deck
and a “VHS” of Zero’s “Dying to Live”. The runner up will receive their
very own “VHS” copy of Dying to Live, hey, its better than a copy
“Sweatin’ to the Oldies”
 
For those of you who have never owned a “VCR” or Video Cassette
Recorder, the abbreviation “VHS” officially stands for “Video Home
System”. Initially the acronym stood for Vertical Helical Scan, named
for the relative head/tape scan technique that is utilized by the “VCR”
to decode motion pictures off of the 1/2” magnetic tape inside of the
video cassette’s oversized shell, but I digress.
